My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Undeniably, our hope has been and always will be in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life; the very foundation and spiritual heart of our faith. We know that, through Him, all things are possible.
That’s why the theme of this year’s Catholic Stewardship Appeal, Hope Starts Here, is particularly fitting. It affirms a belief we’ve had since the earliest days of our catechetical formation: all hope lies with Him and in Him.
St. Peter asserts, “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”
Ministries and programs funded by the Catholic Stewardship Appeal provide essential services that, in many cases, have no other source of support. Benefitting more than 625,000 Catholics within 205 parish communities, the ministries and related stories you’ll read about on this website are made possible because you chose to affirm your hope -- your belief in the goodness of the greater Church -- through your financial support of Catholic Stewardship Appeal.
A gift to the Appeal is much more than a monetary transaction; it’s gift of faith that manifests itself many times over. With your help, the Church in southeastern Wisconsin will continue to be a beacon of hope and remain steadfast in its devotion to bringing people closer to Christ.
