Purpose Statement

The Global Mission Network of Southeastern Wisconsin (GMNSW) motivates individuals, families, and faith communities to affirm, strengthen and energize our universal call to mission beyond our borders. The network assists with communication, education, needs, and resources to deepen our personal and communal identity as members of the global community.

Origins of the Global Mission Network

World Mission Ministries, in coordination with Archdiocesan Parishes, Catholic Schools, Parish Religious Formation Programs and local Mission organizations, announced the beginning of a Global Mission Network of Southeastern Wisconsin (GMNSW) in 2009. This network will coordinate resources, education, spirituality and communication to deepen our communal identity as members of the global community.

The work of this Network began at and grew out of the Transformative Dialogue Project (TDP) meeting which took place in March of 2009. There, it was decided that a network should be created to connect local, mission-focused parishes, schools, and organizations.

Since then, a core organizing group has met to define the goals and structure of the GMNSW and is working to create a central location where anyone involved in mission or interested in becoming involved can come to learn about opportunities, best practices, and to benefit from shared experience.
