Lectio divina is a method for praying with the Scriptures. As one reads and invites the Word to become a transforming lens that brings the events of daily living into focus, one can come to live more deeply and find the presence of God more readily in the events of each day. The method of lectio divina follows four steps: lectio (reading), meditatio (meditation), contemplatio (contemplation), and oratio (prayer).

Start here. Succeed anywhere. Port Catholic welcomes families and students in grades Pre-3 - 8 to learn how high level academics, faith, and service build a foundation for life. Our approach is to educate the mind, body, and soul through example and in the classroom. We invite prospective families to learn what makes the Port Catholic community so special!
Much of what Jesus asks us to do is simple, yet not easy. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, our Holy Father challenges us to become more aware of those in our community who need our help. He has encouraged us to live the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. We are fortunate to know of and have members in our parish community who realize that practicing mercy brings them joy.
Attend one—or all the sessions—and learn about organizations already in place that can lead us to a greater awareness of their needs and, hopefully, a personal commitment to become more involved.
Most importantly, hear parishioners give their witness
