In Memory of Most Reverend Raphael Fliss

A statement from ‪Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki, on the passing of his fellow bishop and brother in Christ:

Most Reverend Raphael Fliss, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Superior, former priest and native son of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee was called home by our Lord on Monday night. I remember Bishop Fliss as a kind and gentle man whose love for the Church and the priests, religious, deacons and faithful of his diocese reflected the love and care that Christ calls from each and every one of us. I will miss his reflections on the service rendered to our archdiocese, which introduced me to my predecessors and a number of our dedicated priests and people. We pray for his soul and also for the well being of the Faithful of the Diocese of Superior.
