Havens of Mercy

During the Jubilee Year of Mercy, many of the religious order priests are making their houses, friaries, monasteries, and churches available for access to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. These sites will serve as “Havens of Mercy” throughout the Archdiocese.

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee is blessed to have many religious communities present and ministering within it. During the Jubilee Year of Mercy, many of the religious order priests are making their houses, friaries, monasteries, and churches available for access to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. These sites will serve as “Havens of Mercy” throughout the Archdiocese.

As Pope Francis has said:
"Let us place the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the center once more in such a way that it will enable people to touch the grandeur of God’s mercy with their own hands. For every penitent, it will be a source of true interior peace."

Even if you have been away from the sacrament for many years, these priests stand ready and eager to welcome you home. “Confessors are called to embrace the repentant who come back home and to express the joy of having them back again.” (Pope Francis)
