"Seasoned Marriage" is the theme of the Imani (Faith) Marriage Ministry Workshop on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 3114 N. 2nd St., Milwaukee. The purpose of the IMANI (Faith) Marriage Ministry Workshop, “Seasoned Marriage,” is to dialogue about the marriage of older couples who have been married 25 years or more or one partner (or both) is 55 years of age and to engage in lively discussion about retirement, empty nest, children returning home, sickness, caring for a spouse or elderly parent(s), money matters, death and what it takes to remain a loving, committed couple through it all.
The IMANI Marriage Ministry provides a gathering for seasoned couples to express their own reality of marriage, having been together for so many years. The IMANI Marriage Ministry provides a forum for couples to examine marriage longevity, unconditional love, support and stability, and the importance of having God as the center of their union.
This workshop is sponsored by the Black Catholic Ministry Commission, Archdiocese of Milwaukee and funded by the Black and Indian Mission Grant, Black and Indian Mission Office, Washington, D.C.
