In an effort to prevent spam and viruses from entering their network, Roadrunner has implemented some new policies regarding the number of individual messages it will allow a single source to send to them. Unfortunately for us at the central offices, this means that Roadrunner accounts that we've always been able to send mail to may no longer be receiving our messages.
They've implemented a rate control on e-mail so we are only allowed to send 1,000 messages to them in a single hour. Obviously, this is a problem because a single broadcast message (like this newsletter) can surpass that limit. Any other messages sent from any other archmil account within the same hour are returned with the 'too many recipients received this hour" reason code.
So, if you have an archmil account and sent an e-mail to a Roadrunner account only to have it returned or if you have a Roadrunner account and haven't received the archbishop's "Some Seeds" message or other mail from the central office for a few weeks, this is the reason.
We're working to find a solution but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a simple one. This message is in fact a test, as you'll notice the sender's e-mail address is not my normal account. We'll keep you informed of any solutions that we employ.
