Men's Religious Orders: Augustinians

The Augustinians of the Midwest

(Order of St. Augustine, Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel), a Roman Catholic religious community, have as our foundation the living of a common life, seeking to be united in mind and heart intent upon God.

Our Order is one of apostolic fraternity, a community of brothers who live with the people of God giving witness to true Christian love and other Gospel values. Augustinian Friars (brothers and priests) work as active contemplatives in preaching and teaching, in spiritual direction and counseling; in parish, campus and hospital ministries; in theological research, and in the arts and sciences. We also serve as missionaries in Peru and Japan. We minister in high schools and universities, and are also involved in retreat work. Wherever there's a need, we'll share our life as community in witness to the love of Christ.
