The Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ's) are a religious community of brothers and priests. The order has its roots in France, where Fr. Leo John Dehon was struck by the injustices of poverty and social neglect. SCJ's on four continents work toward building God's kingdom of justice and love.
SCJ's serve in a variety of ministries. They are pastors and community organizers. They are in courts and prisons seeking justice for the poor. They are in hospitals. They are missionaries. In all of these works, SCJ's place themselves at the service of the Church.
