The primary role of the 8th Grade/ELA Teacher will be to

St. Matthew School has an opening for a full-time 8th Grade/ELA starting in the 2024-2025 school year.   The primary role of the 8th Grade/ELA Teacher will be to

• Implement a comprehensive instructional curriculum appropriate for assigned grade level

• Incorporate technology to effectively create a 21st century classroom learning environment

• Supervise student activities within the classroom and other areas as assigned

• Communicates via phone, email, and in person with families regarding students’ academic progress in a professional and timely manner

• Attend all teacher in-services, faculty and department meetings, professional development, and faith formation workshops

• Participate in additional school-related activities including, but not limited to, open house, graduation, CSW weekend masses, parent-teacher conferences, and back to school event.
