As the archdiocesan Director of Parish Stewardship for 11 years, Barb Vite assists pastors and parish leadership groups in their efforts to educate and inspire their communities about the concept and practice of authentic stewardship. Barb entered church ministry after a long career in public relations and marketing, having several feature articles published in domestic and international trade journals. Barb has also written award-winning public service announcements. In 2001, Barb joined the staff of St. Mary Parish in Menomonee Falls as Director of Parish Stewardship and School Development. In 2006, Barb spearheaded the parish Faith First initiative, which resulted in double-digit increases in financial giving and volunteer participation.
Barb has been a presenter at the International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC) conference on multiple occasions, focusing on parish best practices and the enhanced offertory process. She also serves on the ICSC Parish Education Committee. Barb supports parishes by providing consulting services, commission formation and training, short and long-term stewardship planning, regional seminar offerings, and implementation resources for use at the parish and archdiocesan levels. Away from the office, Barb enjoys craft fairs, gardening, and travel.
