Before the existence of La Sagrada Familia Parish, people in the province of Azua, Dominican Republic organized in groups to pray that someone would come to help them on their faith journey. There was no parish Church. There was only a young diocese with people living in the poorest section of the country. In choosing to begin this relationship, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee committed itself to becoming a partner in building a community of faith and mutual friendship.
