Liturgy is the source and summit of Christian life. The Ministry Enrichment Gathering is a one-day program that will explore the role of the liturgy in a Catholic Christian’s life through an innovative blend of storytelling, lecture, art and music.
The theme of Liturgy as source and summit (The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy) will be reinforced in a series of sessions that are specially designed to assist in the spiritual, intellectual and pastoral formation of the liturgical minister. Participants will join in fellowship throughout the day, over lunch, at midday prayer, and at a concluding mystagogical reflection. The workshop is a collaboration between Liturgy Training Publications, the Office for Worship and Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon.
It was a success in October 2016 at Christ King Parish in Wauwatosa, and so we are bringing the same program to Horicon - depending on where you live, less than 90 minutes from Milwaukee.
Register now for the May 20, 2017 event. Here are some comments from the October event.
"Thank you for an extraordinary day ... from the first morning welcome by the gentleman at the back of the church to a lovely breakfast and enjoyable lunch to closing. Moments with new acquaintances and great thougths to contemplate on my way home."
"Liturgy is an immersion experience, based in faith and mindfulness, nourished by hope and blessed with gratitude."
"Liturgy is the summit of the Church - we should strive for perfection at every Mass."
The fee to attend this Ministry Enrichment Gathering has been reduced thanks to a supporting grant from the Faith in Our Future Trust. The grant was made possible by the good work of the parishes in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in their participation in the Faith in Our Future Campaign.
