Join the Office for World Mission and special guest Fr. Juan Manuel, associate pastor of La Sagrada Familia (LSF), for a special exhibit entitled “Pilgrimage through Pictures,” Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 1-5 p.m., at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 812 N. Jackson St., Milwaukee.
Come and experience the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s sister parish through the eyes of recent pilgrims. This self-guided tour of beautiful images from the Dominican Republic also includes “day in the life of” videos and light refreshments from the region. There will also be live music from 3-5 p.m.
It's been said that a picture can speak a thousand words – let the images from the 35th anniversary pilgrimages to LSF speak to your heart. Come and experience the beauty and joy of our sister parish, witness the realities and see the presence of God in the day-to-day moments captured, and encounter the love born out of 35 years of connection.
Whether you are learning about our sister parish for the first time, or have visited multiple times, you’re sure to feel “United at the Heart” with the people of La Sagrada Familia.
This event is free and open to the public. Good will donations will support the work of the Office for World Mission and La Sagrada Familia Parish. Postcard-sized photos and a special song written by recent pilgrims to the Dominican Republic will be available for a suggested donation.
