This theme is the focus of the 8th What We Have Seen and Heard program series on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church Parish Hall, 4051 N. 25th Street, Milwaukee. The workshop series is based on the pastoral letter issued on September 9, 1984 from the Black Bishops of the United States. Registration is at 8:30 am, and the workshop begins at 9 am until 12 Noon.
Co-Facilitators are Dr. Shawnee Daniels-Sykes, Associate Professor of Theological Ethics at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee and Celia Jackson, J.D. and Co-Chair of the Human Concerns Commission of All Saints Catholic Church.
The program is sponsored by All Saints Catholic Church, the Black Catholic Ministry Commission of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and funded by the John Paul II Center for the New Evangelization, the Office of Evangelization, the Nazareth Project of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the Black and Indian Mission Grant Office, Washington, D.C. and the Catholic Stewardship Appeal of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
This program is free and open to all who are interested in the history of Black Catholicism in the United States. Light refreshments will be served.
