2/3 Grade Split Teacher

  • Cooperates with other faculty members in consistent planning, developing, evaluating and implementing a school curriculum which adheres to:

  • Meets the needs of the children and current educational practices and research.

  • Adds to the culture and influence of the local community and the influence of the world community.

  • Consistently plans and evaluates instruction.

  • Employs a variety of teaching strategies, taking into account the learning needs of the children.

  • Maintain accurate student records.

  • Is professional and confidential with student information.

  • Maintains open communication with parents (i.e. conferences, phone calls, notes and progress reports).

  • Documents significant interactions with parents and/or students.

  • Keeps Campus Principals informed of student progress and parent/guardian concerns.

  • Participates in Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences.

  • Employs a variety of teaching strategies, taking into account the learning needs of the children.

  • Provides a secure, comfortable, and respectful and inviting learning atmosphere which motivates and challenges students to achieve in all areas of development.

  • Is responsible for the safety, supervision, and well-being of every child whenever students are on the premises.

  • Participates in special program preparations.

  • Provides opportunities for cultural awareness and experiences within the community.

  • Attends regular faculty meetings.

  • Engages school volunteers when appropriate.

  • Provides class schedule and lesson plans for substitute teachers.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate subject area.

• Appropriate State of Wisconsin licensing and certification.

• Knowledge of application of best teaching practices

• Ability to work in a high achieving school in a diverse environment.

• Be able to work in a collaborative team with peers
