JOB PURPOSE:
To create a flexible kindergarten program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for participation in the total school program, according to each student’s ability to establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members.

Provide learning experiences in language arts, reading, social studies, mathematics, science, social studies, and religion to students, using course of study adopted by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and other appropriate learning activities.

Develop and use instructional materials suitable for verbal or visual instruction of students with wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturities.

Provide individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and help students make a satisfactory transition to school.

Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve effective participation in all activities without interfering with the natural informal atmosphere of a kindergarten.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Valid Wisconsin Teaching License
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, and staff
Organizational and communication skills
Possesses basic computer and technology skills.
