Coordinator of Adult and Family Ministry

  1. Coordinate pastoral/spiritual opportunities for adults and family units including, but not limited to: Small group faith sharing; Marriage enrichment; Young family formational support; Scripture study sessions; Young adult study, support, and opportunities
  2. Assist in the formation of the entire community in the understanding of the parish mission.
  3. Use a variety of resources and platforms, including Formed, Alpha, Great Adventure Bible Study, and more, to offer opportunities for lifelong faith formation.
  4. Invite and form discipleship leaders to assist in the formation of families, young adults, and adults.
  5. Collaborate with Child and Youth Ministers in providing intergenerational formation, events and experiences including catechist development.
  6. Collaborate with Director of Hispanic/Latino Ministry in providing formation, retreat, and event experiences for adults and families.
  7. Collaborate with Director of Formation and Director of Hispanic/Latino Ministry to create parent curriculum for Family Formation.
  8. Oversee the coordination of Adult Confirmation and RCIA preparation.
  9. Collaborate with Director of Societal Ministry to provide service and outreach opportunities for adults and families.
  10. Collaborates with other staff members as needed and as directed.
  11. Along with Coordinator of Youth Ministry, provide pastoral, formational, and worship opportunities for young adults.
  12. Attend staff, commission, and Archdiocesan meetings as appropriate.
  13. Oversee and assist with scheduling for ongoing bible studies, prayer groups, and other formation groups.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Minimum BA or equivalent in theology, Religious Studies, or Catechetics
  2. Excellent communication and organizational skills and computer skills
  3. Pastoral perspective regarding ministry
  4. Fully initiated Roman Catholic in good standing
  5. Versed in Vatican II perspectives and theology
  6. Ability to work collaboratively
  7. Ability to appreciate and relate to differing cultures
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  9. Willingness to travel between different parishes and work sites

ADA Physical Requirements:

  1. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
  2. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; use hands; reach with hands and arms.
  3. Close vision required for paperwork and computer.
  4. Able to utilize computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
  5. This role functions in an office environment and uses standard office equipment.
  6. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
