Development Coordinator - Part Time

  • Manage the daily gift entry process for the Office of Advancement:

  • Batch and enter all gifts promptly;

  • Generate the appropriate acknowledgement letters, routing them to the correct signatories and following up to ensure prompt completion;

  • Identify special gift situations and troubleshoot possible issues as necessary; and 

  • Run daily gift reports and file appropriately

  • Keep the donor database current by updating information including updating family records linked through admissions software.

  • Run mailing lists and execute letter merges.

Light clerical work and other tasks as assigned.


The successful candidate will be organized and attentive to details. Discretion and confidentiality is critical. A self-motivated, individual with strong relationship-building skills will find SCHS a place to grow spiritually and professionally.   • Associate’s degree 

  • 1-2 years of experience in professional office setting (nonprofit experience preferred)

  • Must be highly organized with great attention to detail.

  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database a plus 


Working Conditions 

This is a part-time  non-exempt hourly position. Hours worked per week are flexible but the Development Coordinator is typically expected to work 28 hours per week. Occasional time on evenings and weekends may be required. Standing, bending, walking, walking multiple flights of stairs, lifting, lifting overhead and occasionally lifting objects up to 50 pounds is required. Working environment is generally a clean academic setting.
