Director Of Campus Ministry- UW Milwaukee

Oversee all student evangelization and discipleship formation.-

a.) Provide opportunities for student growth in authentic Catholic discipleship (ie. one on ones,
retreats, etc.).
b) Mentor key UWM student leaders one on one for growth in deeper Catholic discipleship.
c) Provide students with the opportunity to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith.
d) Promote student growth in the social teaching of the Catholic Church through service to the poor and marginalized.
e) Coordinate opportunities for and formation in prayer and the sacramental life of the Church at the UWM Newman Center
and in collaboration with local parishes.

Oversee all student outreach on UWMilwaukee’s campus-

a) Create and execute strategic opportunities for outreach that attract students to the Catholic faith on campus (ie.
outreach events, large group meeting, retreats).
b) Assist in coordinating small group outreach on campus (dorms, etc) with trained student leaders.
c) Maintain a relationship with affiliated ministers of nonCatholic traditions serving at UWMilwaukee.
d) Provide college students with opportunities to explore becoming Catholic and entering the RCIA process.
e) Relationally minister to college students on college campus.

Manage the UW Milwaukee campus ministry team; staff, college missionaries, and students leadership-

a) Organize and run staff meetings with the various ministry teams to ensure effective communication.
b) Encourage gifts and strengths of all team members and student leaders.
c) Work with the recognized Catholic student organizations at UWM.
d) Seek opportunities for prayer and fellowship with the student leaders, staff members, missionaries, and supporters.

Cultivate relationships with the UWMilwaukee community, alumni, and ministry donors-

a) Work with Archdiocesan Director of JP II Center for Evangelization  to strategically plan for the future of Campus Ministry.
b) Work with the Archdiocesan Director to fund development initiatives (ie. grant proposals, donor events, etc.).
b) Develop communication with parents and families of college students through email, newsletters, etc.
c) Establish relationships and promote collaboration with local Catholic parishes near UWMilwaukee.
d) Collaborate with Archdiocesan graphic design team to establish logos, fliers, etc. for campuswide visibility.
e) Oversee all official ministry social media efforts, advertising, etc.

Manage all operations associated with UWM Campus Ministry.-

a) Manage all budgetary items associated with UWM campus ministry.
b) Oversee maitenance for the UWM Newman Center (cleaning, permits, updates, etc.)



Applicant must be a practicing Catholic with a commitment to the New Evangelization. Applicant must have a
fervor for the mission of the Catholic Church, evangelization, Catholic discipleship, and reaching young adults. A
bachelor's degree in Catholic theology, Catechetics, or a comproable degree is required. Excellent interpersonal skills,
planning and team/project management ability is required. Previous experience with a Catholic campus ministry is
highly desirable; specifically experience with FOCUS, Evangelical Catholic, St. Paul’s Outreach, or a related program. Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Suite, etc. is desireable.


benefit eligibility is the first of the month following 30 days of employment. minimum salary is $52,075.
