Director of Communications and Marketing

  1. Create and maintain a relationship with community through communication tools; Facebook, website, weekly schedule of events, bulletin and newsletters.
  2. Assume responsibility of the production and distribution of school information to families and school community. EX: school newsletters, group postings, event flyers, etc.
  3. Assume responsibility of the production and distribution of the weekly parish bulletin and /or other parish communications as assigned.
  4. Actively contribute to the development and actions of the school marketing plan.
  5. Immerse self in the school culture in order to effectively and accurately market our Catholic identity and school mission.
  6. Collaborate with school and parish staff to plan marketing events.
  7. Work with parish counterpart to create cohesive Facebook and website pages.
  8. Seek and implement effective marketing strategies for the school, with emphasis on increasing the enrollment of new students and engaging current families.
  9. Maintain relationship with staff enabling information to stay current by meeting with staff and principal.
  10. Collect information from the staff, parish, and families for publication of schedule of weekly events and newsletter.
  11. Manage Facebook page or other social media platforms and website. Maintain a product, which is friendly to the consumer, encourages student recruitment and highlights school information and other news items.
  12. Maintain a user-friendly format for the website. Update information to keep the website current. Reach out to all members of the parish/school to maintain pertinent issues.

Qualifications

  1. Pleasant personality. Courteous and respectful to all members of the school and parish community.
  2. Marketing and/or communications background preferred.
  3. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred – must be a strong communicator.
  4. Technical/computer skills. Must possess the knowledge/skills to complete all tasks.
  5. Maintains confidentiality of school/parish records and formal/informal information.
  6. Meets professional expectations- see staff handbook.
