Business Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts receivable and accounts payable operations.
  • Oversee human resource operations, including the hiring and termination of employees, payroll, and group plan benefits.
  • Establish accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting systems, policies, and procedures to provide effective control of all financial transactions.
  • Analyze financial data and communicate the institution’s current and projected financial status to best inform SJCA’s long-term planning.
  • Direct the annual budgeting process by working closely with the Administrative Leadership Team and the Board of Directors.
  • Work closely with the Director of Admissions to inform current and prospective families of the financial aid process, as well as determining fund allocation.
  • Serve as SJCA’s Wisconsin Parental Choice Program and Special Needs Scholarship Program authorized designee responsible for audits, enrollment, and reconciliation of payments from the Department of Public Instruction. 
  • Create financial statements and other reports that are appropriate for various audiences. 
  • Coordinate SJCA’s annual audit. 
  • Address and resolve financial issues with faculty and staff, families, and the general public. 
  • Manage bid processes and business contracts for SJCA’s financial arrangements.  
  • Assist the Annual Auction by managing the bank processes on the night of the Auction. 
  • Perform additional program duties as assigned by SJCA’s President.


  • Bachelor degree, preferably in accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting, human resources, and/or financial leadership experience
  • Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information
  • Ability to work collaboratively and congenially
  • Some early morning or evening meeting attendance may be required
