As the Director of Liturgy and Music, in addition to having a Liturgical music background, this candidate must have strong organizational and communication skills, be comfortable leading a small staff, and have some experience working in parish community.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Administrative responsibilities - scheduling, ordering, recruiting / assisting with musician hires, preparing weekly masses
-Musical responsibilities- must be willing to play piano and organ during some masses, funerals, weddings, etc.
-Communication / Technology skills - strong written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills
-Collaborative skills - must be willing and able to collaborate with all departments within the parish as well as school
Qualifications
Candidate must have:
-Liturgical music experience (1+ year)
-Ability to play Piano and/or Organ
-Bachelors Degree
-Willingness to work some nights and weekends
-Complete all Safe Environment requirements of the Archdiocese and Standard Archdiocesan Background Check
-Basic computer skills
-Collaborative and Communication skills
-Meet physical ADA requirements - sit / stand for long periods of time, ability to lift 25lbs, use hands, reach with hands and arms
Notes
$55,000-$60,000 yearly salary plus available stipends for additional work. Position includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and after one year of service, life insurance and pension plan.
