Early Childhood Aide

1.  Classroom duties

  • work with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
  • work with individual children in need of special attention
  • assist teacher with non-instructional classroom duties such as snack, toilet, and clothing routines
  • assist in center activities
  • under supervision from teacher, assist in preparing for classroom activities
  • participate in an in-services as determined by the Principal

2.  Supervisory duties

  • supervise arrival and dismissal of students
  • supervise students out during lunch recess time--whole school lunch recess duty time
  • supervise students during Mass and other liturgical celebrations and assemblies
  • assume responsibility for supervision of students when assigned by the Principal

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or higher
  • Safeguarding all God's Family program and criminal background check
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Team player in the school
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, and staff
  • Caring, loving demeanor and display of Christian values
