Extended Care Team Lead

Administrative Responsibilities (25-30%)

a. Coach, supervise, and lead the after school staff

b. Lead the extended care team to include but not limited to schedules, orientation, training, ordering supplies, and conduct regular team meetings

c. Maintain open lines of communication with children, their parents, and the school staff when managing the various student schedules

d. Cooperate with the rest of faculty and school staff in managing schedules and ensuring consistent care and safety of the children

e. Maintain records of attendance of the children in the Extended Care program. Provide information to and collaborate with Finance Department to ensure accurate billing

f. Responsible for registration and scheduling of Extended Care children

g. Plans, markets, and promotes the Summer Fun Camp program. Hours vary based on the program and schedule

h. Contributes to and maintains the Extended Care Handbook i. Contributes to and maintains the Policies and Procedures Manual for Extended Care 

l. Effectively follows all directives of the School Principal

Teaching Responsibilities (70-75%)

a. Assist with the supervision of children and assume responsibility for supervision of the children during designated times

b. Potential substitute for the teacher or aide in the Kindergarten Connection program

c. Lead teacher in Summer Fun

General Responsibilities

d. Implement activities, which are consistent with the philosophy of St. Dominic School

e. Demonstrates a professional demeanor and attitude in alignment with Gospel values and the school mission

f. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the children, equipment, materials and facilities

g. Train staff in the proper use of school materials and equipment

h. Create an environment that is caring and welcoming to young children upholding the mission of St. Dominic Catholic School

l. Provides other assistance on projects as needed m. Other duties as assigned by the Principal


1. Bachelor’s Degree in education or other related child development coursework preferred

2. Experience in leading a child care organization preferred

3. Proven knowledge about compliance with state statutes as applicable

4. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Training • Knowledge of the parish and school mission, ministries, and structure • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with staff, parish leaders, parents/guardians, and volunteers while using a collaborative work style • Relates well with children and adults in a professional, friendly manner • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks demonstrating adaptability and flexibility • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite • Familiarity with, or ability to master, ProCare or similar student information system to manage family data.

5. Faith-filled Christian (Catholic preferred), ability to lead children in prayer, friendly, courteous, collaborative, and energetic
