Extended Care Team Member

  1. Supervise the children
  2. Contribute to the children’s sense of self-worth as a Christian person; foster an apostolic consciousness in children and influence the spiritual development of the children
  3. Effectively plan activities that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the children according to the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards implemented by the Archdiocese of Wisconsin
  4. Create an environment that is caring and welcoming to young children
  5. Supervise children in proper use of school materials and equipment
  6. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the children, equipment, materials and facilities
  7. Maintain the classroom by cleaning up after activities, putting away any materials, and getting the room back in order
  8. Monitors attendance by signing children in and out as needed
  9. Maintain open lines of communication with children, their parents, fellow team members, and school staff
  10. Cooperate with the rest of faculty, school staff, and fellow team members
  11. Attend team meetings where applicable and have continuing education articles read
  12. Effectively follow all directives of the Extended Care Team Lead and Principal

Qualifications

  1. Proven knowledge about compliance with state statutes for the operation of a child care program
  2. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Training
    • Knowledge of the parish and school mission, ministries, and structure
    • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with staff, parish leaders, parents, and volunteers while using a collaborative work style
    • Relates well with children and parents in a professional, friendly manner
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks demonstrating adaptability and flexibility
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new computer systems such as ProCare

*At least 18 years or older - must complete Safeguarding before being able to work directly with students*
