Maintenance Technician

  • Complete daily rounds/inspections of facility, i.e., turning on lights, unlocking entrances, checking boiler/HVAC.
  • To provide reactive and proactive support to events or issues and ensure communication with Campus Maintenance Supervisor regarding.
  • Organize work and set priorities on a daily basis; flexibility if other needs arise.
  • Assess and take care of issues that occur on the campus.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of parish grounds and buildings.
  • Assist in maintenance/repair and routine maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, boilers and buildings/facilities.
  • Assist in the ordering of supplies and maintaining appropriate inventory as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform snow removal and grounds keeping/landscaping tasks.
  • Take reasonable care of items of equipment used to carry out tasks; including general cleanliness and advising if need for maintenance of equipment is required.
  • General custodial tasks throughout the parish.
  • Set-up and take down for events, meetings, classes, and gatherings.




  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a comparable position
  • Basic knowledge of building trade skills, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting and carpentry
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Knowledgeable in the use of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to interact, listen and communicate well
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Ability to take on responsibility, including troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Must be in good physical condition; able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds unassisted, walk, bend and stretch as required, stand for long periods of time, work in tight and confined spaces, climb ladders, and have good balance and eye-hand coordination.
  • Pre-employment physical required
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required
