Special Education Aide

Work under the direction of the Special Education Coordinator and classroom teachers to support one of four students with intellectual disabilities.  Caseload assignments will be based on goodness-of-fit between aides and students.  The aide implements curricular modifications designed by the Special Education Coordinator and provides in-the-momnent adjustments to classroom learning experiences to facilitate inclusion, social connections, and authentic learning.  Students range in age from first grade through middle school.

Position is reimbursed by the state Special Needs Scholarshiop Program (SNSP) and an additional tuition assessment and does not include benefits.

Comfort with contemporary instrcutional technologies

Related experience in child-centered environment
