Staff Accountant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accounting and Financial
 Process customer invoices weekly
 Process, monitor and collect on invoices for CWSP and student tuition
 Process Accounts Payable invoices and W-9 verification for new vendors
 Process weekly Accounts Payable check run and monitor when invoices are due
 Asset Management process and reporting
 Daily bank deposits and cash application
 Reconcile monthly revenue with the Advancement department
 Process, reconcile credit card payments and code to proper account
 Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed
 Assist with financial statement preparation
 Assist Director of Finance with month-end closing process
 Assist with the annual audits
 Assist the Director of Finance and Operations with ensuring successful annual student enrollment,
compliance and reporting for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Programs
 Prepares documents for annual audits and works directly with the auditors
 Protects company assets by keeping information confidential
 Act as back-up to the Director of Finance to keep the department running smoothly
 Additional duties as assigned
Program Management
 Assists the Director of Finance and Operations with ensuring successful annual student enrollment,
compliance and reporting for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Programs
 Coordinate data collection for annual reporting to partner institutions
 Protects company assets by keeping information confidential
 Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Human Resources
 Assist the Director of Finance and Operations on managing employee benefits
 Provides assistance to all employees regarding all benefits

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
 3 years professional experience in accounting and finance
 Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
 Proficiency in QuickBooks
 Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large
amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong
attention to detail
 Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with management,
vendors
 Able to work as a team player
 Open to development of skills and knowledge
 Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
 Provide excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and
work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
 Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) (Preferred)
 A multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
 Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School
 Commitment to the Mission and Values of CRJHS.
 Ability to communicate well with both Cristo Rey Jesuit students and parents
 Sensitivity to the ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds of the student body
 Ability to work flexible hours within a 40 hour work week as needed
 Ability to work in a faith‐based organization
 Valid driver’s license; must be insurable with good driving record
 Physical Requirements ‐ Ability to lift 25 lbs.
