Work Study Program Asst.

Essential functions:

  • Assist student worker morning dismissal and transportation

  • Manage student incentive programs including Employee of the Month 

  • Compile, write, and publish monthly e-newsletter

  • Supervise students working at the school

  • Assist with parent communication (newsletter, phone calls, scheduling)

  • Teach weekly CWSP Skills Course (using materials and curriculum from the Cristo Rey Network)

  • Support training and motivation of student workers 

  • Assist with data management (customer relationship database and student data) and record-keeping of student employees (I-9 forms, work permits, tax forms, agreements, Department of Labor compliance and other employment related documentation)

  • Assist in an administrative role of the Corporate Work Study Program as needed. This could include helping with mailings, phone calls, writing copy for promotional materials or event planning

  • As needed, transport students to and from work 

  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Self-motivated, high-energy, engaging, can-do attitude

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven atmosphere

  • Reliable and punctual, able to be ready to work at 7:00am

  • Ability to relate to and motivate high school students

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with creativity and ability to edit content for a wider audience

  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Ability to work on simultaneous projects, varied in nature, in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency for goal achievement

  • Technology skills desired for use of Salesforce, Power School, and Excel databases, and Constant Contact for newsletter

  • Fluency in Spanish strongly desired

  • Sensitivity to the ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds of the student body

  • Ability to work in a faith‐based organization

  • Valid driver’s license; must be insurable with good driving record

  • Strong personal alignment with the Cristo Rey Catholic and Jesuit mission
