Archbishop Listecki shares a statement on the deadly shooting in Las Vegas on Oct. 1.
I offer my spiritual support and deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the deadly shooting in Las Vegas last night, which left at least 50 people dead and more than 400 wounded when a gunman opened fire at a country music festival.
I hold in my prayer, and the prayers of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the victims of this senseless tragedy, as well as the city of Las Vegas.
We pray for those who are suffering. We pray for those struggling with mental illness. We pray for our country, for our world, for peace. May the Lord embrace those affected by this evil, and entrust them to the merciful love of Almighty God.
God, please grant strength and faith to the families affected by last night’s violence, and welcome the deceased victims into your loving embrace.
In addition to prayer, there is one life-saving way you can physically help: donate blood. If you are able, find out where you can donate blood by visiting the Blood Center of Milwaukee: https://www.bcw.edu/bcw/index.htmPublished:2017-10-02
