Homily of Pope Francis

Plenary Indulgence Offered

Indulgences Explained

Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, composed a prayer asking Mary, Health of the Sick, to intercede for us during this pandemic. Please join us in prayer.

Prayer to Mary, Health of the Sick

O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm. You, Mother of the Divine Physician, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy after this time of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.

Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Marriage Preparation during Coronavirus

In light of the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus, the Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation Conference for May 2, 2020 and the Catholic Engaged Encounter Weekend Retreat for May 1-3, 2020 have been cancelled. All participants have been notified and our team is working with all of the couples to provide a plan to fulfill this marriage preparation requirement.

Meetings to plan the wedding liturgy, meetings with the pastor/pastoral staff, and meetings to review the FOCCUS and other pre-martial inventories should still take place virtually if possible.

We realize this is a heart-breaking time for so many engaged couples whose wedding plans have been significantly altered. We will pray for the peace of all the couples and those walking with them in their preparation.

How to Make a Spiritual Communion

"We want to begin a moment of reflection everyday ... encouraging you, and having you understand the spiritual dimension of the crisis we are going through."

We hope that you will join us by watching these daily reflections and sharing them with your community.

Do you believe? I'm a believer. I know that my trust and my confidence is in Christ, in our Lord Jesus Christ, at this time. For, we have to admit, and we know that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. With him, nothing is lost and all is made whole.
