BEHIND-THE-SCENES IN THE CHURCH
In the 1960s, the altar was the entrance, and the entrance was the altar of this church. Why did they change it? Come and take a tour to learn why! What is a baptistery? Find out at Immaculate Conception, which is one of the only parishes in Wisconsin to have one.
Explore the church, beautiful balcony and choir loft at your own pace, or take guided tours of the sacristy. Follow along with self-guided brochures explaining the history behind the beautiful mural and stained glass windows around the church.
CHOIR AND ORGAN PERFORMANCES
Be sure not to miss listening to the beautiful acoustics in this church through voice and song! Enjoy a special performance from the choir at 1 p.m., and organ recitals at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. exclusively during the VIP event.
WHAT GOES ON IN THE BASEMENT AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION?
Wait for it … dart ball! What is dart ball, you ask? If you don’t know what it is, you must come and find out! This southside tradition of a sport has been played in parish basements all over the Milwaukee area and beyond for years. Keep the tradition alive, and come learn how to play from some league experts.
DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL HERE?
There is no gym. However, there is a lot of history. Come check out Immaculate Conception School, attached to the church, and learn some of the history behind the parish/school/community connection.
BONUS: Nearby Food/Drink Discount for VIP event-goers!
SPECIAL VIP MASS: All are welcome to attend Mass at 5 p.m.
