Position Summary:  The Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator will be involved in every aspect of the recruiting and admissions process, from vision to implementation.  The coordinator, with the assistance of the Director of Admissions will structure a process to attract, track, and admit potential students to STM, following them from their first contact through orientation and the first few weeks of school. This person is not only in charge of delivering the student and information about them from the feeder school to STM, he or she is also one of our chief ambassadors in the community responsible for the protection and promotion of the school's image. As the admissions process is central to our mission, the Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator, must be a person who understands and lives out our mission.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of admissions or recruitment experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment, be self-motiviated, creative , and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Posses a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, strong work ethic and a willingness to quickly and continuously gain knowledge of the mission of Catholic Education
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including eveing and occasional weekends
  • Strong management and data analysis skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, administration, and support staff members
  • Exceptional communication skills including public speaking with the ability to negotiate and problem solve
  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish required
  • Experience in data systems, preferably student database systmes (OnBoard)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Director of Admissions in attaining enrollment goals for each school year as determined by the President and the Board of Directors
  • Help construct an annual recruitment plan that is detailed and measurable; plan includes school visits, high school fiars, group meetings, and other startegies with projected goals used to evaluate yield based on time and effort
  • Set up regular school visits and schedules for key STM personnel to appear at various feeder schools
  • Develop and implement the annual Open House event in collaboration with the Dean of Academics and the Principal
  • Recruit STM student ambassadors and Cavalier Coaches for recruitment and retention
  • Public speaking, in English and Spanish, to constituents both on and off campus
  • Develop and maintain relationships with STM feeder schools including feeder schools including principals, guidance counselors, faculty, and other key personnel
  • Manage and maintain the admissions solftware to assure accurate application processes
  • Coordinate and implement recruitment outreach eents
  • Support administration and perspective families through the Parental Choice application process
  • Coordinate and implement recruitment outreach events
  • Ensure that accurate information is distributed on a timely basis to current and prospective famlies
  • Work collaboratively with student services and the admissions committee in the evaluation and execution of the admissions process
  • Work collaboratively with department heads and student services in the registration process

Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all staff
  • Conduct all writeen and verbal communication in a timely, cordial, and professional manner
  • Perform all duties with a high level of accuracy and clarity
  • Appropriate and accurate knowledge of all STM academic and athlice programs for recruitment purposes
  • Quickly identify problems and promptly implement recommendations for solutions
  • Spanish speaking skills required
