After-Care Staff Member, St. John Vianney Parish, Brookfield, WI

Saint John Vianney Parish (SJV) is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic After-Care Staff Member to help provide a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment for students during our after-program.

SJV is a thriving K3—8 Catholic serving more than 390 students. Faith, excellence, and community are at the heart of everything we do, and our after-care program plays an important role in extending that mission the school day.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for students in the after-care program, ensuring a safe and positive environment
• Build 1K)sitive relationships with students across grade levels
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, outdoor play, and other recreational opportunities
• Support students with homework or quiet activities as appropriate
• Maintain appropriate supervision and follow all school safety and student-care policies
• Communicate professionally and warmly with students, families, and school staff
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming after-care space
• Attend to students' individual while fostering a sense of belonging and community
• Follow procedures for student sign-out and dismissal

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children and demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and good judgment
• Be dependable, responsible, and attentive to student safety
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Be comfortable working with students across multiple grade levels
• Have experience working with children in a school, child-care, camp, parish, or similar setting; is preferred but not required
• Support and contribute to the Catholic mission and values of St. John Vianney parish School
