Summary

seeking a part-time Art teacher, this position covers a medical leave from Mid March–June 5, 2026 and serves as a flexible In-House Long-Term Substitute, providing coverage delivering high-quality instructional support. The substitute will assume all duties of the absent teacher, implement lesson plans as provided, and leave feedback/notes for the classroom teacher, while maintaining a positive, safe, and structured learning environment aligned with the school’s classroom management systems, core values, and code of conduct.

Job Description

The qualified candidate will teach Art to 4th – 8th grade students.  The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, exhibit empathy and support for the academic and emotional needs of his or her students and foster positive interactions with students and fellow employees.  He or she must also fulfill other responsibilities in accordance with Holy Apostles' mission statement.

• Knowledge of intermediate and middle school art classes
• Shares with administration and staff a responsibility for excellence in education, curriculum development/improvement, school’s policies and procedures, academic achievement and student well-being.
• Organizes, plans, and prepares assigned classes for optimum educational outcomes by preparing daily lesson plans for subjects taught in alignment with curriculum guidelines established by the State of Wisconsin, Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and Holy Apostles Catholic School.
• Creates a positive learning atmosphere for all students.  Including recognizing and providing for individual learning styles.
• Evaluates students’ growth and achievement.
