Summary

School Description: Catholic Memorial High School, grades 9-12, is a regional, Catholic High School of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, CMH serves approximately 620 students from Waukesha County, and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to educate students as individuals, intellectually and spiritually. We guide students to work to their highest, God-given potential. We prepare them for post-secondary education and to become leaders who serve the Church and the world.  

Catholic Memorial High School is searching for assistant coaches for Boys and Girls Track & Field. The Track & Field assistant coaches will be responsible for the management of the assigned events by the head coaches in a manner that upholds the mission statement and philosophy of Catholic Memorial Athletics.

The spring 2027 season will be from March - May 2027.

The assistant coach:

• Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the athletic program; to include adhering to and enforcing all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as rules and regulations of the school, the Classic Eight Conference and the WIAA.
• Provides leadership and instruction on personal and athletic development of student-athletes, to include counseling team members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters, when appropriate.
• Conducts regular practice sessions in and out of season, as permitted by WIAA rules and regulations. Develops and implements strategies for motivating student athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team.
• Attend practices and training daily along with meets.
• Oversees conditioning and training of team members in conjunction with Head Athletic Trainer to ensure that student athletes are physically prepared for competition.

• Cooperates with all coaches with the Athletic Department to enhance overall Department operations.

   

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior Coaching Experience.
• Flexible schedule from March through May to accommodate practice and game schedules.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse settings, both on campus and in the community.
• All applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check and take the Safeguarding All of God’s Family training.
