Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet people at the door and answer incoming calls and emails.
- Assist parishioners with Mass Intentions according to parish, diocesan and church policies.
- Register new families and members.
- Update parishioner records and maintain the parish datebase (PDS).
- Prepare Mass petitions for the Lector & Presider books.
- Record all Sacramental information in the appropriate books & registers.
- Work with the Deacons to register and schedule Baptisms and prep classes.
- Work with the Pastor, Associate Pastor & Deacons in scheduling, maintaining and updating the QuinceaƱera calendar.
- Notifying the parishes regarding Sacramental information (First Communion, Confirmation, etc.)
- Translating English/Spanish for bulletin articles, flyers, and documentation.
- Works with the Faith Formation Director, maintaining records for Faith Formation & OCIA (registration paperwork, payments and collection of pertinent documents)
- General secretarial skills for the Pastor, Associate Pastor and staff members along with performing other duties and responsbilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to learn parish specific software (PDS, Canva).
- Must have proficient typing skills.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentially in all matters.
- Previous experience in a parish setting preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task efficiently and accurately,
- Must be reliable and dependable.
