Pius XI Catholic High School is a private coeducational high school centrally located on Milwaukee’s west side. With nearly 30,000 alumni, Pius XI attracts students from throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area and currently serves over 700 students.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Campus Maintenance Director, this role helps in maintaining the physical school facilities in a condition of excellence, cleanliness, and safety to promote a positive educational environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to maintenance work orders and tasks as directed by Campus Maintenance Director
- Complete scheduled tasks in CMMS system
- Operate automatic floor scrubber and complete other custodial tasks as needed
- Perform routine maintenance duties and repairs to include but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry as skills allow
- Prep and paint classrooms, offices, and other areas in the school
- Set up and tear down furniture and bleachers for school and public events
- Attend classes, seminars and online video training as needed to stay proficient in building operations and safety protocols
- Perform other related duties as assigned
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Interact effectively, and communicate with all school staff, students and public in a positive manner
- Use basic hand tools, power tools and related equipment
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Commitment to high standards and ethics – professionalism

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to use computers and other electronic devices
- Ability to communicate effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous facility maintenance experience desired
- Knowledge of computers, pneumatics, basic mechanics of boilers, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry desired
- Knowledge of floor care methods desired
- High school diploma
