We are seeking two high-performing people to support our Christian Formation ministry with a blend of administrative duties. This will be a paired job position for two forward thinking and collaborative people that are looking for a part time work hours with a split week or split day schedule. Part Time, Non-Exempt
20 hours per week
Reports to: Christian Formation Directors, Pastor
Primary Function Of This Position
The Christian Formation Administrative Assistant provides clerical support to the Director of Child Ministry and Directory of Youth Ministry (DCM and DYM) and any volunteer catechists. This position demands a close working relationship with the Christian Formation Directors.
Major Position Responsibilities and Regular Activities
- Performs clerical duties for Christian Formation
- Assists in preparation for all areas of Sacramental celebrations
- Responsible for maintaining parish equipment and ordering supplies
- May be required to assist other staff and volunteers with these machines as needed
- Greeting office visitors
- Answers incoming calls, takes messages, and provides information and referrals to callers
- Processes student registrations/maintains student and family records.
- Keeps records of fees and bills past due accounts
- Other duties as assigned

Proficient in:
- record keeping
- organizational and time management skills
- public relations and interpersonal skills
- written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate computer/database skills
- Self-motivated and able to perform outlined tasks with minimal supervision
- High level of confidentiality is essential
Education, Training and/or Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Function according to the policies of the St. Leonard Congregation Employee Handbook and the “Code of Ethical Standards” of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee
- Safe Environment requirements met and maintained
- Practicing Roman Catholic in Good Standing
Work Environment and Availability
- Office Environment
- Day time work schedule with some flexibility, some evening and weekend hours required.
ADA Physical Requirements
- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; use hands; reach with hands and arms.
- Close vision required for paperwork and computer.
- Able to utilize computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
- This role functions in an office environment and uses standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
