Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Technology Services and Support to lead our technology operations in St. Francis, WI. The ideal candidate will oversee the delivery of technology services, manage support teams, and ensure the alignment of IT initiatives with organizational goals. This leadership role requires a strong background in technology management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to driving innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technology Services and Support department, including help desk, infrastructure, and application support teams.
• Manage and administer the hardware and infrastructure of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center, and related entities.
• Develop and implement technology strategies that support business objectives and improve service delivery.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues and service requests.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for technology products and services.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to technology services and support and collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions.
• Manage cybersecurity and IT risk management
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
• Manage budget planning and resource allocation for the technology services department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role managing technology services and support teams.
• Ten or more years' experience in information technology is required, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, service management, and support frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic technology plans.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement.

This is a full time (40 hours a week) salaried position working in-person at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee provides a full scope of employment benefits, including medical, dental, vision flextime, Catholic school tuition assistance for children of employees, 403b, and a pension program. Infrequent weekend and evening meetings and some travel to parishes throughout the archdiocese is required. Mileage reimbursement is available.
