SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

Marquette University High School is looking for a full-time English teacher beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. Marquette University High School seeks teachers qualified in their field who are open to growth, loving, intellectually competent, and committed to faith and justice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A full-time English teaching assignment
  • Co-curricular involvement
  • Prefecting duties
  • Participation in faculty orientation, mentoring, and formation programs
  • Assisting with pastoral activities including student retreats

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the principles of a humanities-focused Jesuit education
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree (with preference for a graduate degree)
  • Be well-rounded in the field of English Language Arts and Literature
  • Have teaching experience (with preference for experience in secondary education)
  • Have an interest in qualifying (or is currently qualified) to teach university-level dual credit courses
  • Preference for a Wisconsin Educator License, though not required

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

This position reports directly to the Principal

COMPENSATION:

The salary and full benefits for this position are highly competitive.
