St. Monica Congregation is seeking a full-time Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operations of parish and school buildings and grounds. This role ensures our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for parishioners, students, staff, and visitors.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance and grounds staff
  • Manage facility budgets, purchasing, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with safety, building and regulatory standards
  • Plan and oversee renovation and facility improvement projects
  • Maintain building systems and complete hands-on maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Collaborate with parish leadership and serve as liaison to the Buildings and Grounds committee

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or related field
  • Knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and groundskeeping
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and projects
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems (email, Word, Excel)
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical maintenance tasks

This position requires regular daytime hours with occasional evenings or weekends depending on facility needs. Candidates must complete the Archdiocese of Milwaukee background check and Safe Environment training.
