Mother of Good Counsel Parish in Milwaukee is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our parish office team as our Financial Coordinator. This is a part-time position (20–25 hours per week) that plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the parish.  

Our parish office is a close-knit, collaborative team that works together to serve our parish community. We are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, takes pride in accuracy, and is committed to providing excellent administrative and financial support. The ideal candidate would be a practicing Catholic.  

Responsibilities

• Processing parish/school payroll
• Entering receipts and financial transactions into QuickBooks
• Coordinating vendor payments through both electronic and manual check draft processes
• Completing monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing and organizing bank deposits
• Recording weekly parish contributions
• Assisting with new employee onboarding and related payroll documentation
• Performing general data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Working with and taking direction from outside CPA firm, as needed
• Performing select HR responsibilities, such as tracking PTO, monitoring compliance with safeguarding requirements and others as required
• Completing other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

• A background in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field Experience with QuickBooks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently and independently while meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling financial information with integrity 

Schedule 

• Part-time, 20–25 hours per week
• Flexible weekday schedule to be determined
