Pius XI Catholic High School is seeking a French teacher (.5 FTE) for the 2026–2027 school year. Pius XI is the most diverse Catholic high school in the state of Wisconsin and is committed to providing every student with an education that prepares them for college, career, and a life of purpose.

Candidates should demonstrate a passion for Catholic education and a willingness to integrate Catholic and Gospel values into the classroom experience.

Pius XI values the role of world language education in developing global awareness and cultural understanding. The ideal candidate will be excited to build engaging language experiences for students and help strengthen the French program through cultural activities, real-world language application, and creative learning experiences.

The qualified candidate should be able to teach introductory and intermediate French courses.

Responsibilities
 • Teach French language courses
 • Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports student learning
 • Collaborate with World Language department colleagues on curriculum and instruction
 • Support the mission and values of Pius XI Catholic High School
 • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
 • Contribute to the growth of the French program through cultural programming, clubs, or experiential learning opportunities

Qualifications
 • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required
 • Wisconsin DPI teaching license preferred. Candidates with strong French language proficiency, relevant teaching experience, or a willingness to pursue licensure are encouraged to apply
 • Demonstrated proficiency in French and strong verbal and written communication skills
 • Experience working with teenage students of varying abilities preferred
 • Candidates with experience studying, living, or working in a French-speaking country are especially encouraged to apply
