Junior High English Language Arts Teacher (Grades 6–8) Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year
St. Mary’s Visitation Parish School, a thriving K–8 Catholic school in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Junior High English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Position Overview:
The Junior High ELA Teacher will lead engaging instruction for students in grades 6–8, developing strong skills in reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
This educator will cultivate a love of language while integrating Catholic values into daily learning.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-based ELA instruction for grades 6–8
● Foster student growth in reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking
● Create a structured, positive, and faith-centered classroom environment ● Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
● Assess student progress and communicate effectively with students and families ● Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success
● Integrate Catholic teachings and values into curriculum and classroom culture
● Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)
● Current Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain)
● Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
● Strong classroom management and organizational skills
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
