St. Jerome Parish School is seeking a faith-filled, energetic, and academically driven Junior High Science Teacher to join our faith-filled faculty.
Position Overview
The Junior High Science Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-based instruction across core subject areas while creating a structured, engaging, and faith-centered classroom environment
Essential Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Design and implement engaging, standards-based instruction in core subject areas
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Implement formative and summative assessments to guide instructional decisions
- Integrate instructional technology appropriately and effectively
Classroom Culture
- Establish consistent routines and strong classroom management systems
- Foster a classroom climate rooted in respect, responsibility, and collaboration
- Create a secure, welcoming, and academically challenging learning environment
- Support students in developing organization, study habits, and independence
Catholic Identity
- Support and deepen the school’s Catholic culture
- Model Christian virtues in daily interactions
- Integrate faith into the curriculum and classroom life
- Encourage service, leadership, and moral development

- Collaborate actively with grade-level partners and fellow faculty members
- Maintain open, healthy communication with students, parents, and colleagues

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Education or related field preferred)
- Valid teaching license or Archdiocesan equivalent
(12 semester hours of credit in teacher education as part of, or in addition to, the degree) - Compliance with all Archdiocesan child protection training and procedures
Compensation & Employment Details
- Type: Annual salary with benefits

- Employment Status: Full Time (as designated in letter of employment or addendum)
ADA Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear
- Frequent use of hands and arms; ability to sit for extended periods
- Close vision required for paperwork and computer work
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, monitor, and telephone
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
