Christ King Parish School is seeking a faith-filled, energetic, and student-centered Full-Time Instructional Aide to support one of our K3 classrooms. This individual will work closely with the classroom teacher to nurture our youngest learners in a joyful, structured, and faith-filled environment.

Position Overview

The K3 Instructional Aide supports the classroom teacher in fostering early childhood development—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The aide plays an essential role in creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Academic Excellence

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities as directed
• Work with students in small groups, centers, and individual support settings
• Prepare classroom materials and learning spaces to ensure smooth transitions and routines
• Supervise students in the classroom and during recess, lunch, and other assigned duties
• Support early literacy, numeracy, and social development in age-appropriate ways

Faith and Service

• Model Christian virtues and Catholic values in word and action
• Support classroom prayer, religious activities, and school-wide service initiatives
• Promote a spirit of kindness, gratitude, and respect among students

Community

• Help create a classroom culture rooted in cooperation, patience, and encouragement
• Collaborate professionally and respectfully with faculty, parish staff, and administration
• Maintain positive, professional interactions with parents

Development of God-Given Talents

• Support students’ social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth
• Recognize and respond to individual learning differences
• Encourage responsibility, confidence, and strong interpersonal skills in young children
• Communicate effectively with the classroom teacher regarding student needs and progress

• Maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion
• Provide supervision during bus, lunchroom, or playground duties as assigned
• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to support the broader needs of the school

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children (early childhood experience preferred)

• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of the school

Schedule

Full-time, hourly on school days.
