Primary Duties: Custodial

• Collect and remove trash and dispose of properly.
• Sweep, clean, mop and vacuum floors (Wax and strip floors in summer)
• Clean and sanitize lavatories and sinks, clean mirrors, fill dispensers and replenish supplies.
• Dusting at least once a week in all buildings.
• Clean stairways.
• Setup and tear down for events or activities that may occur.
• Ensure security and safety of all parish and school buildings and grounds.
• Open entrances and rooms for mass and scheduled events or activities.
• Perform yardwork and winter snow removal duties (on-call for weekends).
• Prepare school buildings for upcoming school year (Summer).
• Assist the Maintenance Director as needed with maintenance work.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or necessary to maintain facilities in a user friendly condition.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Approved criminal background check and Safe Environment training.
• Pre-employment physical required (Catholic Mutual Insurance Requirement).
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 75 lbs., squat, bend and reach above the shoulders throughout the day.
• Previous training and/or applicable experience using a variety of tools and equipment is preferred
• Low pressure boiler license preferred, or willing to go to school to obtain license.
• Ability to work supervised and unsupervised, think on your own and with others.
