St. Mary School in Menomonee Falls, WI, is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and mission-driven Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This educator will play a key role in forming thoughtful, articulate, and engaged students while collaborating within a strong and supportive middle school team.
We are looking for a teacher who holds high academic expectations, is committed to continuous growth, is dependable and consistent in their presence and preparation, and is energized by working in a collaborative, student-centered environment that supports learners with a wide range of needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Teach Middle School English Language Arts
- Design engaging, rigorous, and standards-aligned lessons in reading, writing, grammar, and literature
- Foster critical thinking, discussion, and a love of reading and writing
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students who need additional support and those who require enrichment
- Serve as a homeroom teacher, supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students
- Teach an additional middle school elective based on interest and skillset
- Collaborate closely with middle school team members to ensure a cohesive student experience
- Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students to support growth
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Support the mission of the school through shared responsibilities, including supervision and school events
- Uphold and model the mission and values of Catholic education
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field
- Valid teaching license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to high academic standards and student growth
- Ability and willingness to support students with diverse learning needs through flexible and responsive instruction
- Self-reflective, growth-oriented, and open to feedback and instructional coaching
- Reliable, professional, and consistent in fulfilling responsibilities
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute beyond the classroom
- A passion for working with adolescents during this formative stage of development
- A commitment to the mission of Catholic education is essential; practicing Catholic preferred
